Referral services and navigation centered case management is available to all Day Center clients. Supportive Services:     ARCHES provides a variety of supportive services for those experiencing homelessness. These include: hygiene kits, pet food, telephone access, birth certificates, community mailboxes, and referrals to community resources. SOAR services are also available to eligible participants who need assistance in applying for the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) disability programs: Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). Warming Center Network:     ARCHES convenes the Salem Warming Center Network. Warming activations occur between November 1 – March 31 when the nighttime low reaches 32 degrees or below. To learn about warming activations call the Activation Hotline at 503-559-7147, or visit salemwarming.weebly.com. Housing Assistance: Housing Assessments: 8:30am – 3:00pm, Monday – Thursday     Housing assessments are the entry point to all ARCHES housing programs. They are also connected to other housing opportunities in Marion/Polk counties, including the City of Salem’s HRAP Program, and housing placements with our other partners. Assessments are conducted by trained and experienced assessors. They generally require 20 minutes per household and are available on a walk-in basis. Reasonable accommodations for disabilities and languages are made upon request. Housing Programs:     ARCHES runs several housing assistance programs, which vary by client needs. Each program’s goal is to provide housing stability through rental assistance and case management geared towards the development of self-sufficiency. Eligibility and housing placements are determined using the ARCHES housing assessment process.

As A General Note About ShelterListings.org Listings:
ShelterListings.org does our best to provide listings that are free of cost. Many of the homeless shelters and services are free of charge. Some do charge small fees. We always urge the users of our website to visit the websites of the providers listed, OR give them a phone call to find out complete details.

In furtherance; Halfway Houses, Transitional Housing, and Substance Abuse Treatment Centers for the most part charge a fee. Most of the substance abuse resources we provide are low cost, Medicaid or sliding scale fee. We provide as much information as possible on the website of these locations.

Rooming and Boarding Houses do charge fees. We list them where we find them. They are a nice low cost option for housing.
