Class of Housing/Services: Re-Entry Christian home for women.

General Information:
CHRISTIAN HOME FOR WOMEN Re-Entry is a non-denominational, Christian home, where women whose lives are controlled by addictive substances learn the causes of their addiction and overcome them for the rest of their lives. Our program requires residency at our Primary Care facility for a 12 to 18 month period. During that time we prepare the woman to resume independent living, returning her to children, family, friends and the work place. Upon graduation from the Primary Care program, we offer an After Care program, if additional time is needed to complete job search, find affordable residency or put in place or things essential to resumption of independent living. Addicts come to us as destitute (no possessions) and desolate (abandoned) persons. Our program is designed to renew and restore the joy of life that is available by faith in Jesus Christ. Through qualified care providers, we address the medical, counseling, educational and other human needs that are necessary for restoration. There are typically 25 women participating in our program.  Re-Entry began its ministry in 1980. It was founded in Bridgeport, Connecticut by Executive Director Minister Queen S. Mims.

We always urge the users of our website to visit the websites of the providers listed, OR give them a phone call to find out complete details.

In furtherance; Halfway Houses, Transitional Housing, and Substance Abuse Treatment Centers for the most part charge a fee. Most of the substance abuse resources we provide are low cost, Medicaid or sliding scale fee. We provide as much information as possible on the website of these locations.

Rooming and Boarding Houses do charge fees. We list them where we find them. They are a nice low cost option for housing.
