General Information:
Genesis House is a short term temporary shelter for Brevard County women 18 years of age and older who are either pregnant or have 1-3 children with them (boys under 12y and girls under 18y) and senior women 62 years of age and older on a fixed income that are medically independent and independently mobile (no canes, crutches, walkers, or wheelchairs). Genesis House is not a drug or alcohol rehab center nor are we mental health or domestic violence. We do require proof of pregnancy (doctors notes or ultrasound with your name on it), ID (or copy of ID- we can possibly help you get ID), social security card(s), birth certificate(s) (if you have it, if not we can help you get it), must have transportation in place (walk, bus, friend, family, or car) and be capable of getting fulltime employment. Genesis does require at least the first vaccination for Covid and a negative test results that is less than 48 hours before application appointment. Our application process is a phone intake, application appointment, application is reviewed by management, and you are notified the next business day of decision

Drug And Alcohol Rehab programs are intended to treat alcohol and/or drug dependency. The cost of participating in one of these programs and the method of treatment range significantly.
