Class of Housing/Services: Transitional housing programs.

General Information:
Jehovah Jireh Family Center is located in a historic home in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia. The cozy and convenient atmosphere provides room and board with common living and kitchen space. The Fresh Start Program provides temporary housing for 9-10 single, parenting (with children) or pregnant women. Each client has to commit to a 6-8 month transition stay. The program also offer services in the following areas: *Trauma Counseling *Life skills classes *Credit and Money Management *Job Readiness Training and Placement *Parenting skill class *JJFC Connect Morning and After School Services (for the women with children) *Home-ownership Preparation *Christian counseling *Adult Basic Education *Daily Bible study Program Objectives - To provides a variety of interventions and supports for women and their children who have: *Experienced severe trauma through abuse *Been formerly homeless and have completed a drug or alcohol treatment program, *Plans to reunite with their children,or who have a goal of reunification through DHS. To Be Qualified, Residence Must be/ have *Homeless or in acute need of housing *Single, parenting or pregnant *18 years of age or older *Receptive to Biblical teaching *No acute psychiatric or medical conditions *No severe drug or alcohol addiction( "clean time" for a minimum of 3-6 months *Must be working, looking for a job, or be in school/ trade program
