General Information:
Located in Lafayette, Louisiana, St. Joseph Shelter Men operates 365 days a year and shelters up to 32 men in a dormitory setting. Men seeking shelter should arrive at Stella Maris Center, located at 615 West Simcoe Street at 8:00 AM Monday - Friday to sign up for a bed.   A valid form of ID is required for admission. St. Joseph Shelter cannot shelter registered sex offenders or men with active warrants.   Please note that on nights that the shelter operates a freeze plan, IDs are not required to be sheltered for the night.      If you are a homeless male, St. Joseph Shelter may have a space for you. The shelter operates 365 days a year and shelters up to 32 men in a barracks style setting. Residents receive breakfast, dinner and supportive services to help secure employment, permanent housing and any other services that may be needed. St. Joseph Shelter operates on a first come, first served basis, so men seeking shelter should arrive at or before 7:30 AM Monday through Friday to sign up for a bed. St. Joseph Shelter is located at 425 St. John St. in Lafayette, Louisiana. Please bring with you a valid form of ID. St. Joseph Shelter cannot shelter registered sex offenders or men with active warrants.
