Class of Housing/Services: Transitional Housing
General Information:
At Christ Satisfies Housing we believe that, by building your recovery with your higher power, each person struggling with substance abuse issues or harmful behaviors can be set free from substance use to live their life to their full potential.
We have seen it proven in our own lives and the lives of many others -- that it is impossible to battle homelessness, alcoholism, addictions and day-to-day struggles alone. We believe that success comes from supporting each other, encouraging one another and offering accountability and resources to make better choices which lead to a healthy mind, body and spirit. In order to have the life you hope for and dream of, there must be an investment and willingness to search your own heart and help others do the same -- working together as a team.
We hope to offer each person who partners with Christ Satisfies Transitional Living a season of hope, achievement, restoration, character growth, happiness living free from bondage, and continued healing in their recovery, mental health, personal life, relationships and their spiritual life by utilizing the recovery AA/NA Model and outside mental health services..
Currently, Christ Satisfies Housing offers two different programs or tracks, depending on the client's needs and desires. We offer, by choice, sober housing based on either AA/NA Model or Faith-Based Model. Clients participate in their selected choice of programming and are not forced to choose any religion, church or groups. Christ Satisfies Housing is not affiliated with any church or denomination.
We also partner with assistance programs that provide, to those eligible, GRH (Group Residential Housing) funds that can help to support individuals who have yet to find employment and covers programs costs and food on a daily basis for those eligible. These persons are actively seeking full-time employment, therapy, education and are in the meantime doing in-house programming with CSH, however, can rely on GRH for their funding during their initial transition time if approved by their county caseworker to qualify. Each client applying for assistance must submit and application and do a phone screening which staff can assist in this process at intake.
BOARD AND LODGING(GRH) HOUSING EXPECTATIONS:
*Qualify for GRH (Group Residential Housing) monthly funding assistance if needed.
*Remain substance free. Random UA's/Breath Tests given.
*Attend 3 self-help meetings outside the house per week. Recovery, Church, or Life Group, treatment or therapy.
