General Information:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sliding scale fee; counseling services; limited emergency shelter for low-income (emphasis on Spanish speaking). A multi-service center in the southside area of Sacramento has been providing services in English and Spanish since 1979. Services include emergency rental and utility assistance, information and referral, low-cost immigration assistance, tax preparation assistance for low-income families, and distribution of  toys and food to low-income families at Christmas. Refugee Resettlement Catholic Charities of Sacramento reunites families through a cooperative agreement with U.S. Dept. of State and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops. Access to housing, medical care, and other benefits are offered to refugee families who come from a variety of areas throughout the world, as they learn English and train for employment and a productive life in the United States.
