General Information:
MCCH provides solutions to end homelessness through: Permanent Supportive Housing – Our goal is to connect people who experienced homelessness to stable, permanent housing along with the services they need to maintain their housing. MCCH operates 40% of the County's permanent supportive housing solutions for families and single adults who have exited homelessness. Emergency Shelter and Safe Havens Housing – MCCH meets the urgent needs of people experiencing homelessness by operating 60% of the County's emergency shelter beds. Our men's emergency, the county's only year-round 24/7 men's shelter, serves up to 800 men annually. We also serve over 60 of our most vulnerable neighbors who have severe mental illness and are often deemed the most difficult to serve, including 15 veterans in Safe Havens emergency housing. Safe Havens Emergency Housing – Serves chronically mentally ill, homeless adults. Safe Havens provides case management, counseling, life skills development, and on-site psychiatric services with the goal of helping clients transition to a healthier life in stable, permanent housing. VA Safe Havens Emergency Housing – Serves 15 veterans with severe and persistent mental illness or co-occurring substance disorders. VA Safe Havens provides case management, counseling, life skills development, and on-site psychiatric services with the goal of helping clients transition to a healthier life in stable, permanent housing.
