STEP: Savings & Transition Economic Program The STEP Program provides homeless persons who have an income a place to stay while saving the funds needed to get back on their feet and once again secure their own housing. This program is geared toward people who do not have long-term issues with homelessness, substance abuse, or mental health issues and is a short-term program. Program length is typically 3 to 6 months. Clients in the STEP program receive budget counseling, financial classes, employment skills training & assistance, as well as guidance in achieving short term goals. T.H.E. SOLUTION T.H.E. Solution is a comprehensive training & employment program supported by Talbot House Ministries, designed to assist people in overcoming the barriers blocking stable employment. LONG TERM RENEWAL PROGRAM The Renewal Program serves men & women who have chronic issues with homelessness including substance abuse and mental health issues regain a productive and meaningful life. The program is designed to provide enrolled clients with educational advancement, spiritual growth opportunities and Job Skills Training in one of nine (9) departments: Food Service, Facilities Maintenance, Data Entry & Reception Services, General Construction & Carpentry/Cabinet Making, Facilities Management, Janitorial Services, Landscape Design & Maintenance, Laundry and Security Services.
