This is a Non Profit Organization that provides Transitional Housing. Review the details below: Project PLASE addresses homelessness by providing transitional and permanent housing and supportive services to homeless adults, particularly the most vulnerable and underserved (i.e., people with mental illness, HIV/AIDS, addictions, developmental disabilities, ex-offenders, etc.) and by treating the whole person and empowering each individual to function at the highest possible level.

Special Note: Disabled accessibleThis multi-purpose facility was completed in 2001 and renovated in 2009. It is utilized as housing for SRO male and female residents with separate transitional housing for men and women. The building effectively utilizes 4 stories of living space and includes bedrooms, bathrooms, multiple common kitchens, and common living area for its residents. An overnight counselor occupies an apartment, providing for 24 hour, 7 day a week supervision and active support. A garden and courtyard complement the quality living of our residents as well as staff. Fees may apply for this Transitional Housing resource. Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless
or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. The naming of the two (Halfway House OR Transitional House) is oftentimes interchangeable.
Many Transitional Housing programs are subsidized and are income based. Income based transitional housing generally charges 30% of your income for rent when you do have income. Contact the transitional housing facility to see if this applies.
