General Information:
Community Concepts operates two homeless shelters: One in South Paris and one in Rumford. Our Rumford shelter has been in operation for 20 years and the South Paris shelter has been open for 10 years. The buildings are set up as a two unit dwelling. One unit is used as the shelter and the other is for the shelter coordinator. Families reside in their own bedrooms. The kitchen, living room & bathroom are shared space for all households. Funding Source: Maine State Housing Authority & private donations Serves Oxford County     Each Shelter houses 9 beds for homeless families     The Shelters are operated 24 hours a day-365 days per year     The Shelters assist families only-typically families with children     There is no specific length of stay-we assist families until they find safe, affordable housing Contact for homeless shelter information is 1-800-866-5588 ext. 2046
