General Information:
Carroll County Emergency Shelter is a non-profit, Domestic Violence Shelter located in Carrollton, Georgia serving the Counties of Carroll, Heard, Haralson, Coweta and Meriwether. Our agency was organized in 1986 and our number one goal remains the same to provide safe shelter and supportive services to victims of domestic violence in our five rural counties. The services that we offer are 24-hour staffing and crisis line, crisis intervention, counseling, support groups, children’s programs, legal advocacy, parenting, financial management, job-readiness and life-skill classes. All of our programs and classes are led by trained domestic violence professionals. Our staff consists of an Executive Director, Administrative Assistant, Office Manager, Client Managers, Legal Advocates, Child Advocate, Night and Weekend Staff and other Support Staff Members. We are governed by a Board of Directors, our Board Members are selected from community leaders throughout the counties that we serve.
