We provide more than shelter and food. We provide the ability to rise above devastating, negative elements and achieve job-readiness and self-sustainability. Entry into the program is limited, and each step is extremely rigorous. But those who see it through end up with rewarding, happy, and productive lives – for themselves, and for their children. Saint John’s vision is to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness one family at a time. By addressing the root causes of this population’s homelessness and poverty, we help prevent the effects of these conditions from cycling into the next generation. In the context of an 18-month supportive but rigorous program, Saint John’s shows each family the door to a better life, and provides them with the tools to open that door and walk through it, beginning their journey to independence, self-sustainability and real change.
