Our Services Are Available To All Of Cortland County Apartment rentals for low to moderate income families and handicapped persons Affordable home ownership program for first time home buyers Housing counseling Handicapped ramp program Modifications of homes to adapt to the needs of persons with disabilities Mission Statement The mission of the Cortland Housing Assistance Council, Inc. shall be to marshall the financial, technical, professional, and other resources of Cortland County or available to Cortland County, and apply them to the task of combating community deterioration and to secure decent, safe and sanitary housing at low and moderate costs for economically disadvantaged citizens of this county, under the guidance of their representatives toward fuller participation in the community and the benefits thereof. The Cortland Housing Assistance Council, Inc. owns and manages many affordable units within the City of Cortland. 18 - 20 Maple AvenuePomeroy School Apartments offer 33 handicapped accesible units. 47 Pomeroy Street 26 Homer Avenue All apartment leases require a security deposit equal to one months rent due at lease signing. Special arrangements are available for security deposit in unique circumstances. C.H.A.C. Inc. has 24 hour maintenance service for emergency repairs.
