General Information:
Aphesis House is a safe, sober living enviroment for Men transitioning back to society. We provide transitional housing for previously incarcerated men with history of substance abuse and homelessness. The success of this program has enabled the indivdual to re-enter society as a productive law-abiding citizen. Structured living in a sober enviroment is a healing and recovery process for each individual as a whole. Aphesis was designed to provide transitional housing for individuals being released from incarceration, have a history of substance abuse, veterans or homeless. The housing facility has a full-time staff, provides meals, and offers job search assistance, a mentoring program, community involvement, recreational activities, and a structured 90 day re-integration program. At the present time we are male only facilities. The only ineligible applicants are those with medical conditions which make them unable to care for themselves.

Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses. The naming of the two (Halfway House OR Transitional House) is oftentimes interchangeable.
