General Information:
Long term transitional housing, halfway housing, for homeless families in this county, Indian County. While, here each family goes through a comprehensive, highly structured program that seeks to end their homelessness and reunite them with independent living in the community. To be eligible must be homeless with dependent children or pregnant female over age of 18 & must be Indian River County resident for at least 90 days. Transitional housing is affordable supportive housing designed to provide housing and appropriate support services to persons who are homeless or who are close to homelessness. The transition is to help them be more self sufficient to move towards independent living on their own. Transitional housing locations are oftentimes called Halfway Houses.
