General Information:
The Center for Children and Young Adults (CCYA) has three programs: Open Gate, Another Chance, and Turning Point. Turning point is a transitional living program, providing older adolescents with vocational and living skills enabling them to become self sufficient. The ages for the program are 17-21 and are referred via the Department of Family and Children Services and the Juvenile Justice System. Typically these individuals have been in a foster care program their entire life, and this program seeks to provide smooth transitions into a self-sufficient lifestyle. Services provided: - Food - Clothing - Shelter - Vocational and Life Skills Enhancement Another Chance has 10 beds and in the year 2007, Open Gate served 22 Children.
