General Information:
The Poverello Center’s emergency facility provides short-term emergency shelter, food, and supportive services to community members living in poverty. The facility provides a drug-free, caring, and tolerant environment in which to make positive change. Shelter Services: Nightly check in beginning at 8:45p - Men and women can reside in our shelter facility on a short term basis while seeking housing. - Veterans enrolled in our shelter program have access to additional services and longer stays - Medical respite beds are available by referral only for people who need additional privacy and time to recuperate from a medical crisis Food Services: Daily meals from 6a-7:30a, 11:30a-1:45p, and 5p-6:30p - The Poverello Center serves three nutritious meals per day to anyone in need, including families - Our sack lunch program ensures people have food while on the job - Our daily Food Pantry provides shelf-stable and fresh foods. Supportive Services: Day services available from 6a-8p - Toiletries, bathrooms, and shower facilities - Emergency clothing and laundry services - Mail, phone, and messaging services - Scheduled educational classes and a computer lab - Medical services through the Healthcare for the Homeless Clinic - 12 step meetings and other addiction services - Individual intake, assessment, and referral meetings - Community resource and referral groups
